Ideal camping sites for those who long for a quiet campsite and want to enjoy nature and country life. Nature camping sites can be found in the most beautiful areas in the Netherlands, often near cycling and hiking routes. The map on this site shows the location of the Nature camping sites in Holland.

What will you find on the Nature camping sites?

• Rest, space and privacy
• The Nature camping sites are small and cosy. They measure approximately 1 ha, some are larger
• A spacious spot. Per ha. not more than 30 pitches are permitted
• Proper basic sanitary facilities, this means drinking-water and toilet, and almost always also a hot shower
• Most Nature camping sites are open to both campers with tents and campers with caravan or motorcaravan.
• For hikers and cyclists places are kept available until 7 p.m. whenever this is possible.

What can you expect at some Natural camping sites?

• A bad weather provision
• A few playing provisions for smaller children
• Dogs are admitted (on the leash) at a majority of the fields
• Some sites have extras, such as: a washingmachine, refrigerator, rental bicycles, wooden shoes.
• Nature camping sites are also extremely suitable for adventurous families with (young) children, because cars may only be used at arrival and departure.

• Fixed campsites or season sites
• Cars beside tents or caravans

In 'The Green Booklet', the greenest camping guide of the Netherlands, you will find all 140 recognized Nature camping sites extensively described(in dutch). With all information you are looking for to make your choice, such as location, provisions, rates, accessibility, etc. The price is ?14,95. For sending the booklet outside The Netherlands we charge ?1,00.

The Nature camping card (Natuurkampeerkaart) a 'garantee card' for green quality
Attached to the cover in the back of The Green Booklet you will find the Nature camping card. This card gives you the right to use a pitch on the Nature camping site of your choice. On one card a whole family gets access to the campingsite, or a group existing of 4 people. The Nature camping card is obligatory at all Nature camping sites.

Owners of our campingsites offer you the possibility to camp at places where the natural environment is vulnerable. This demands respect and a responsible use. That is why there are a number of rules for the users, so nature will be respected. By using the Nature camping card, completing your personal details and placing your signature on the map, you declare to agree to these rules. In this way you have a garantee other users will pay the same respect to the environment like you do.

How do you get possession of The Green Booklet with Nature camping card?
You can fill in the application form at this website. You can also send a mail with your address details. You will receive a letter with information how to pay for The Green Booklet. After receiving your payment The Green Booklet with the Nature camping card will be sent to you. It is also possible to buy the card in the Netherlands in an ANWB shop, travelbookshops, or at the Nature camping sites.?All Nature camping sites have the booklets in stock.

Where can the Nature camping sites be found?
To see a general map with an overview of all Nature campingsite in the Netherlands click here. There you?select?a province?of the Netherlands. You will then see tents drawn on the map where Nature camping sites can be found. Some places have more than one Nature camping site. If you click on a tent, you will get to the information of the camping site involved.

At the 'terreinen op plaats'?page you can find the campsites in alfabetical order of the name of the town in which the Nature camping site is located. Behind it is the name of the Nature camping site. When you click on the name of the Nature campingsite a page opens with the specific information of this particular camping spot.

On the page of the campsite you will first see some pictures and the name of the campsite. Underneath this name you will see the size of the site, the number of pitches and the period during which te campsite is open. Under this information, you can find the address and contactdetails of the campsite.

Till now we can only give the description of the camping sites environment in Dutch. But provisions and rates are stated in symbols.

On the bottom of the page you can find the contact details for that specific camping site. These might differ from the address info of the camping spot itself.
